N. T. Wright, with his bright mind and philosophical background, has been able to construct a system that, for the time being, appears to satisfy the demands of the postmodern critic while at the same time smoking him out of his cover of subjectivity. That might seem appealing to some, but the Christian has never been called to submit his worldview, his metanarrative, and his Bible to the demands to philosophical skepticism.

This time, those challenging Luther's interpretation of the kerygma of the Apostle Paul are themselves self-consciously Protestants, and ironically, in many cases, ministers and theologians in churches that bear Luther's name.
The New Perspective seems to be just another name for the same old heresy— justification by works. Brilliant scholars have explained this doctrine in subtle, refined, and sometime unintelligible terms, but it is nothing new.
