Ruckmanism No.4 REFUTED. [By Pat Benner, KJV Onlyist]

His UNSCRIPTURAL VIEW OF THE KING JAMES BIBLE

His Unscriptural view of the King James Bible.

I will now explain my view of Scripture, Inspiration, and the King James Bible.

1. I Believe the King James Bible is the Word of God for the English Speaking People.

2. I Believe the King James Bible is Perfect and without Error.

3.I do Believe the Words in the King James Bible are Inspired.

4. I do Believe the King James Bible is the Final Authority in all matters.

5. I do Believe the 'New' Bibles do contain some of the Words of God, but that they are not accurate enough to be called the Word of God.

6. I do Believe that an accurate Translation of the Bible can be made into any Language, and that it is not necessary to learn English first.

7. I do Believe the Bible was Finished and Complete in 96 AD.

8. I do not Believe the King James Bible is Inspired.

9. I do not Believe the King James Bible is 'Advanced Revelation'.

10. I do not Believe the King James Bible corrects the Hebrew or the Greek.

On my WebPage is a Page from a King James Bible printed between 1615 and 1649. Look closely at it. This page is no more than 38 years away from the Original King James Bible of 1611. Now open your Bible and tell me the Difference. Romans on my page reads:

Romans 3:21 But now the righteoufneffs of God without the Law is manifefted, being wittneffed by the Law and the Prophets

Romans 3:22 Euen the righteoufneffe of God, which is by faith of Iefus Chrift unto all, and upon all them that beleeue: for there is no difference:

Romans 3:23 For all haue finned, and come fhort of the glory of God,

Now do you see any difference! Here by Dr. Ruckman's own admission is the INSPIRED Word of God.

"The King James test is the last and final statement that God has given to the world, and He has given it in the universal language of the 20th century ... The truth is that God slammed the door of revelation shut in 389 BC and slammed it shut again in 1611" (Peter Ruckman, The Monarch of Books, Pensacola, 1973, p. 9).

You don't have it, I have only page of it. If the King James is Inspired then why does Dr. Ruckman and his followers reject the Preface, the Footnotes, and the Apocrypha, not found in King James Bible of today?

They were in the "Original" AV1611, look in yours. What you have is a 1769 Edition of the 1611 KJB. Yet Ruckmanites claim to have the PURE WORD OF GOD! Did God have to 'REINSPIRE' the King James Bible in 1769 to include these changes? What about the changes made in 1629, 1638, 1762 and again in 1769? There are even 2 different texts used today. Which one is Inspired?

The 'Original' King James Bible of 1611 was printed in Gothic Type. For instance, the Gothic "s" looks like the Roman "s" when used as a capital letter or at the end of a word. But when it is used as a lower case "s" at the beginning or in the middle of a word, the letter looks like our "f." Therefore, also becomes alfo and set becomes fet. Another variation is found in the German "v" and "u." The Gothic "v" looks like a Roman "u" while the Gothic "u" looks like a Roman "v."

This explains why our "w" is called a double-u and not a double-v. Sound confusing? It is until you get used to it. In the 1611 edition, love is loue, us is vs, and ever is euer. But remember, these are not even spelling changes. They are simply type style changes.

In another instance, the Gothic "j" looks like our "i." So Jesus becomes Iefus (notice the middle "s" changed to "f") and joy becomes ioy. Even the Gothic "d" had the stem leaning back over the circle in a shape resembling that of the Greek Delta. Is this Gothic Type inspired? Or is the Roman Type inspired?

1. Which text is Inspired?
1. Cambridge
2. Oxford
2. What parts are inspired?
1. Text only?
2. Preface?
3. Footnotes?
4. Apocrypha?
5. Woodcut Drawing?

All of these were in the 'Original" King James Bible of 1611.

3. Which Edition is Inspired?
1. 1611?
2. 1629?
3. 1638?
4. 1762?
5. 1769?

First the 'Original'

Romans 3:21 But now the righteoufneffs of God without the Law is manifefted, being wittneffed by the Law and the Prophets

Romans 3:22 Euen the righteoufneffe of God, which is by faith of Iefus Chrift unto all, and upon all them that beleeue: for there is no difference:

Romans 3:23 For all haue finned, and come fhort of the glory of God,

Now compare these 3 verses with a Modern King James Bible:

Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Did you see it, what has been changed? The Gothic type is GONE, the Spelling is DIFFERENT, and even the Punctuation is different. The only thing that ISN'T different are the WORDS.

Psa 12:6 The WORDS (not the Bible, not the King James, not a Translation, the WORDS) of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words (not the Bible, not the King James, not a Translation, the WORDS) shall not pass away.

Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words (not the Bible, not the King James, not a Translation, the WORDS) shall not pass away.

Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words (not the Bible, not the King James, not a Translation, the WORDS) shall not pass away.

2 Tim 3:15-16 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

ALL Scripture means that when it is given in another Language it is STILL Scripture. Did Timothy have Scripture? Yes. The Scripture Timothy had was Old Testament Scripture, given in Hebrew. Do I have Scripture? Yes I have it in English.

How is Scripture given:

2 Pet 1:20-21 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Spirit gives Scripture. The King James Committee was not giving Scripture they were translating Scripture. We have many English Bibles that came before the King James, they ALL contain Scripture, but Dr. Ruckman refuses to call them 'Inspired'.

By Dr. Ruckman's own admission if ONE thing is changed then it's not the "PURE WORD OF GOD". Taking the position he has taken is a VERY dangerous position to take. By claiming that 'God slammed the door of revelation shut in 389 BC and slammed it shut again in 1611' he has risked bring the curse of God upon him.

Deu 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Prov 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Rev 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Psa 12:6 The WORDS (not the Bible, not the King James, not a Translation, the WORDS) of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Now I will look at those WORDS.

Gen 15:1-6 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.

And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Psa 33:6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
Psa 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Psa 119:89 LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

Psa 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Isa 9:8 The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.

Isa 38:4 Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying,

Isa 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Jer 1:4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Jer 20:9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.

Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Mat 8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

This Centurion knew the very power of the WORDS of Jesus would heal his servant.

Mat 8:16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

John 5:38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.

Acts 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

1 Cor 12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God

Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

2 Th 2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
Paul is telling us to stand fast and the hold the traditions which we have been taught, wether by SPOKEN WORD or WRITTEN WORD.
Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

1 Pet 1:25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. Andthis is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we makehim a liar, and his word is not in us.

1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are

Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

The word is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that is what God said he would preserve not the King James Bible, not some translation, but the VERY WORDS OF GOD.

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Gen 1:2-6 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

It was the very WORD of God that spoke the World into existence.

John 11:43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

It was by the very WORDS of Jesus that Lazarus came forth from the grave.

Psa 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

You may take my King James Bible from me, if I have the very WORD of God hid in my heart you can never ever take that from me.

As you can see Dr. Ruckman's view of the King James Bible is UNSCRIPTURAL.
